Site Manager – Operations & Production

About the role

American Iron & Metal is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead daily operations at one of its metal recycling yards. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will ensure safety, quality, and productivity while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Set performance goals and deadlines aligned with company vision and communicate them to the team.
• Organize workflow, delegate tasks, and ensure employees understand their responsibilities.
• Monitor productivity, provide coaching, and maintain accurate time‑keeping and personnel records.
• Prepare and submit performance reports and share information between upper management and staff.
• Enforce compliance with legal, health‑safety, and company policies, including disciplinary actions when necessary.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a supervisor or site manager, preferably in a metal‑scrap environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership abilities.
• Ability to learn diverse job functions and adapt to changing operational needs.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Outlook and the Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Knowledge of commercial trucks and forklift operation.
