Learning and Development Specialist (Hybrid Remote)

About the role

COBS Bread is seeking a Learning and Development Specialist to join its L&D team. The role is hybrid, based in one of the company’s Canadian offices, and focuses on creating, managing and delivering learning content that supports product launches and business initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain learning content across multiple formats.
• Build campaign modules aligned with product launches and initiatives.
• Administer and evolve the LMS and related learning platforms.
• Own content governance, including version control, naming conventions and lifecycle management.
• Design and deliver webinars and digital learning experiences.
• Support the L&D team with content refreshes, new builds and maintenance.
• Coordinate with external vendors on technical delivery and platform compatibility.
• Liaise with data‑analytics team on learning data, Power BI reporting and SafetyCulture insights.
• Identify opportunities to improve platform efficiency, content quality and digital delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in bakery, retail or franchise operations.
• At least 2 years experience in learning content creation, training delivery or capability development.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Adult Education, Instructional Design, Communications, Marketing, Business or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.

Required skills

• Proficiency with LMS platforms.
• Experience using content authoring tools and digital learning technologies.
• Knowledge of content governance and asset management.
• Ability to work with Power BI for reporting.
• Familiarity with SafetyCulture insights.
