About the role
The Labour Relations Consultant provides advisory and consulting services within HEABC’s in‑house legal and labour relations team. You will support member organisations by interpreting collective agreements, legislation and policy, and assisting with negotiations and dispute resolution.
Key responsibilities
- Provide labour relations advice on employment law, privacy, health and safety, and human rights issues.
- Interpret collective agreements, legislation and policy to ensure consistent application.
- Maintain effective relationships with member organisations, health sector unions and external agencies.
- Represent HEABC and its members in meetings to resolve disputes before formal hearings.
- Support lead negotiators with research, document drafting and bargaining preparation.
Required profile
- Relevant post‑secondary education (e.g., Bachelor’s degree in a related field).
- Experience advising on labour, employment, privacy, health and safety, or human rights law.
- Strong knowledge of collective agreements and legislative frameworks in the health sector.
- Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with unions, employers and agencies.
