Junior Project Engineer

About the role

Saltworks Technologies is seeking a motivated Junior Project Engineer to support the delivery of advanced industrial water treatment and lithium refining systems. This position offers hands‑on technical experience while providing a clear path toward project‑management responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Support projects from concept through execution, increasing responsibility over time.
• Assist with planning, coordination, and task tracking across the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Chemical, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineers to develop production work packages.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to specify and source equipment such as pumps, valves, motors, and filters.
• Work with Supply Chain, Production, and Quality teams to ensure projects meet schedule, budget, and quality targets.
• Participate in commissioning activities at the factory and, occasionally, at customer sites.
• Contribute to repeatable full‑scale designs and support innovation, pilot systems, and new product development.
• Represent Saltworks professionally with customers and suppliers, including occasional field visits to the USA.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering degree; eligibility or progress toward P.Eng. registration with EGBC.
• 3–5 years of experience as an engineer or engineering designer in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Experience delivering engineering outputs in a fast‑paced, hands‑on setting.
• Exposure to industrial equipment and standards such as ASME, B31.1, pressure piping, heat exchangers, pumps, or similar.
• Interest in growing into a project‑management‑focused role.
