Junior Backend Developer

About the role

Analyticsmart is seeking a Junior Backend Developer to support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of backend systems that power its analytics, CRM, AI, and merchandising platforms. You will collaborate with product teams, leadership, and fellow developers to deliver scalable and reliable solutions for client‑facing applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services for web and mobile applications.
• Build and support RESTful APIs and backend integrations.
• Write server‑side code using Node.js and related JavaScript frameworks.
• Assist with database design, development, and maintenance (MySQL, MS SQL Server).
• Support API integrations and ensure smooth frontend connectivity.
• Participate in testing, debugging, and performance optimisation.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment activities.
• Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and produce technical documentation.

Required profile

• University degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field.
• 1–2 years of backend development experience.
• Basic proficiency with Node.js and JavaScript frameworks.
• Understanding of relational databases such as MySQL or MS SQL Server.
• Familiarity with APIs, HTML, CSS, and version‑control tools (Git).
• Exposure to cloud platforms and a strong willingness to learn.
• Good problem‑solving and communication skills.
