ISC Support Specialist – Service Desk

About the role

The Integrated Service Centre (ISC) at the University of British Columbia is looking for a front‑line Support Specialist to enable faculty, staff and students. You will provide technical advice, troubleshoot issues and ensure a smooth user experience across operational functions such as human resources and finance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver front‑line technical support to the UBC community.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve end‑user issues.
• Apply appropriate solutions and document resolutions.
• Collaborate with the Service Desk manager, ISC team members and other university departments.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of ISC systems and processes.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to provide effective technical support to end‑users.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple units.
• Successful completion of required background checks.
