Human Resources Generalist (6-12 month contract)

About the role

The Foundation is seeking an Interim Human Resources Generalist to support its leadership transition. This 6‑12 month contract role, based in the Vancouver area, reports to the Director of Finance and Accounting and blends HR advisory, office administration, and IT coordination in a mission‑driven non‑profit environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead recruitment processes and coordinate hiring across the organization.
• Administer employment, contractor, and service agreements, ensuring compliance and managing renewals.
• Provide day‑to‑day HR guidance on policies, performance management, leave, and timesheets using BambooHR.
• Maintain employee records and HR systems, monitoring performance review timelines.
• Oversee office operations, including facilities, supplies, vendor relationships, health and safety, and hybrid workplace logistics.
• Coordinate IT help‑desk requests and act as liaison between staff and third‑party IT service providers.
• Identify and escalate operational, compliance, or employee‑relations risks to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Practical, adaptable HR professional comfortable in a lean, mission‑focused setting.
• Experience managing HR processes, contracts, and employee support in a non‑profit or similar environment.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to balance people operations and broader administrative duties.
