About the role
Aspire Software is looking for a proactive Human Resources Coordinator to join its People team in Montreal. This fully onsite position supports employees and leaders across the United States and Canada, ensuring HR operations are compliant, scalable, and employee‑centric.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries on HR policies, processes, and employment‑related questions.
- Manage and resolve requests through the HR helpdesk system, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
- Maintain employee data and documentation in BambooHR and related systems.
- Support compliance with U.S. federal, state, local and Canadian federal and provincial employment legislation.
- Conduct regular audits of employee files and HR processes to meet legal, internal, and SOC 2 requirements.
- Own and continuously improve onboarding and off‑boarding processes, including exit interviews.
- Assist with compensation activities such as offer letters, promotions, salary changes, and bonus documentation.
- Partner with the HR Business Partner on employee engagement, development, and recognition initiatives.
Required profile
- 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in a multi‑entity or fast‑growing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. and Canadian employment laws and HR compliance standards.
- Detail‑oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a decentralized setting.
Required skills
- Proficiency with BambooHR (HRIS) and related HR systems.
- Experience managing HR helpdesk platforms and employee data confidentiality.
