HR Business Partner – Talent Management

About the role
The HR Business Partner will support Modern Campus’s business units by aligning people strategies with business goals. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will act as both a strategic consultant and a hands‑on HR administrator, driving talent management, employee engagement, and performance development.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with employees, supervisors, managers and directors to provide day‑to‑day HR leadership and solutions.
- Collaborate with leadership and HR teams to ensure business units are properly resourced for objectives.
- Drive the Talent Management agenda, keeping internal talent health and development front‑and‑center.
- Coach, counsel and advise management on performance issues, progressive discipline and corrective actions up to termination.
- Use HR metrics to identify problem areas, develop strategies, and improve engagement and business outcomes.
- Provide guidance on employee‑relations, policy interpretation and HR procedures.
- Manage leaves of absence and ensure compliance with employment legislation across provinces and states.
- Lead rollout and execution of enterprise HR initiatives at the business‑unit level.
- Facilitate annual performance appraisals and strategic succession planning.
Required profile
- Strong blend of hands‑on execution and strategic HR leadership.
- Experience in high‑volume, detail‑oriented HR administration.
- Ability to act as a trusted partner and strategic consultant.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in using metrics to drive decisions.
- Excellent communication, coaching and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Knowledge of employment legislation across multiple provinces/states.
