Hospital Pharmacist – Full‑Time, Day & Night Shifts

About the role

St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to join its Pharmacy Services team. The position combines clinical pharmacy duties with order verification and drug distribution across day, evening and overnight shifts, supporting 24/7 pharmacy operations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prevent, and resolve drug therapy problems.
• Develop and document therapeutic plans and optimize medication selection, dosing, and monitoring.
• Perform order verification and medication distribution during daytime, evening, and overnight shifts.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Participate in hospital and departmental projects.
• Teach and mentor pharmacy learners.

Required profile

• Licensed pharmacist committed to the mission and values of SJHH.
• Strong clinical and disease‑management knowledge.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including day, evening and overnight shifts.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
