Grade 9 Hospitality & Tourism Teacher (LTO, 2 periods)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified teacher to deliver Grade 9 Hospitality & Tourism instruction for Semester 1 on a Long‑Term Occasional (LTO) basis. The position covers two class periods and is part of the Simcoe County District School Board’s commitment to inclusive, high‑quality education.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess curriculum for Hospitality & Tourism for Grade 9 students.
• Manage classroom environment, maintain student records and report progress to the principal.
• Provide instructional support, supervise student activities and ensure safety standards.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and adhere to board policies and Ontario education regulations.
• Participate in professional development and equity initiatives as required.

Required profile

• Valid Ontario teaching certification or equivalent qualification for secondary education.
• Ability to provide two professional references, including current and most recent supervisor.
• Willingness to undergo a Vulnerable Sector Check prior to employment.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and accommodation of students’ needs.
• Completion of mandatory board training before the first day of work.
