Drywall Installer & Finisher

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer and Finisher to join our team in Calgary. The role involves installing and finishing drywall on commercial and residential projects, creating acoustic and coffered ceilings, and delivering high‑quality finishes.

Key responsibilities

• Apply successive coats of joint compound, sand seams and joints, and tape over joints using a taping machine.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place panels for acoustic and coffered ceilings.
• Measure, cut, fit, and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs and joists.
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using trowels and broad knives.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 2 to less than 3 years of drywall installation experience.
• Dependable, flexible, reliable team player.
• Ability to handle up to 13.5 kg (30 lb) loads.

Required skills

• Drywall installation and finishing.
• Joint compound application and sanding.
• Metal ceiling grid fabrication and installation.
• Use of taping machines and hand tools for cutting and fitting drywall.
