Director, Treasury, Working Capital and Liquidity Management

About the role

The Director of Treasury, Working Capital and Liquidity Management will support cash‑flow forecasting, strategic planning and working‑capital optimisation for the George Weston Group, including Loblaw and Choice Properties. Reporting to the Vice President of Treasury, the role offers a unique opportunity to lead a strategic function and build a high‑performance team.

Key responsibilities

• Create a liquidity funding plan aligned with the organisation’s capital allocation framework.
• Develop strong partnerships across the business to understand future liquidity and working‑capital needs.
• Drive improvements in short‑term cash‑flow forecasting across the enterprise.
• Manage working‑capital components to enhance indirect cash‑flow forecasting and cash conversion metrics.
• Provide strategic oversight and execution of the Loblaw Supplier Finance program, collaborating with Enterprise Procurement.
• Identify and implement process optimisation opportunities using technology and statistical models.
• Regularly review KPIs such as inventory turnover and days payable outstanding, recommending improvements.
• Assist in preparing presentations for board, shareholder and senior‑leadership meetings.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading treasury, working‑capital or liquidity functions at a senior level.
• Ability to build and mentor a collaborative, high‑performance team.
• Strong partnership skills to work across multiple business units.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on process optimisation and technology adoption.
