Director of Finance – Healthcare Technology

About the role

The Director of Finance will work directly with the CFO to oversee all accounting and finance operations for GlobeStar Systems across Canada, the United States and Europe. Based in Toronto, this senior position ensures accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance and disciplined financial management while leading regional accounting teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting transactions and guarantee accuracy in financial reporting.
• Oversee month‑end closing for all regions, standardising checklists and reporting templates.
• Prepare and review consolidated monthly financial statements, reconciliations, journal entries and adjustments.
• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and invoicing processes for efficiency and compliance.
• Coordinate external auditors, lead the annual audit process and maintain relationships with accounting firms in Canada, the US and Europe.
• Ensure compliance with US, Canadian and European tax laws, accounting standards and statutory filing requirements.
• Partner with the CFO to develop budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow reports, identifying financial risks and opportunities.
• Drive automation and process improvements in accounting and payroll systems.
• Present financial status and analysis to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing accounting operations across multiple regions (Canada, US, Europe).
• Strong knowledge of US, Canadian and European tax regulations and accounting standards.
• Experience working with external auditors and coordinating annual audits.
• Ability to lead regional accountants, operations staff and administrators.
• Track record of delivering accurate consolidated financial statements and analyses.
