Desktop Support Technician

About the role

Payments Canada is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide first‑ and second‑level technical assistance to internal users. You will work closely with the Corporate Service Desk, delivering high‑quality support both remotely and on‑site while helping maintain the reliability of critical payment systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform technical triage, diagnosis and remediation for desktop incidents.
• Act as the primary point of contact for end‑user support requests.
• Ensure incidents are resolved promptly and escalated according to defined processes.
• Assist with operational readiness, process design and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support asset, request, incident, problem and knowledge management activities.
• Collaborate with senior team members to execute ITIL functions for the Desktop Support team.
