About the role
As a Department Manager at H&M you will lead a store team, fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture while driving sales and operational excellence. You will ensure a high‑quality visual and customer experience that aligns with global brand standards.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the overall customer experience in the department, ensuring visual and commercial standards are met.
- Analyse sales data, set targets and develop action plans to improve results and profitability.
- Promote the Hello Member loyalty app and in‑store sustainability initiatives.
- Manage cost‑efficient operations, including fitting‑room and checkout routines.
- Maintain a clean, well‑stocked sales floor and back‑of‑house areas.
- Stay up‑to‑date with fashion trends, competitors and relevant influencers.
- Recruit, onboard, coach and evaluate team members, supporting their development.
- Coordinate scheduling, planning and communication with visual merchandisers and other store colleagues.
Required profile
- Strong leadership and people‑management capabilities.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to identify and act on sales opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced retail environment and meet performance targets.
- Commitment to upholding brand standards and legal requirements.
