About the role

Join the Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform as an online Conversational French Tutor. You will work remotely, helping adult learners, travelers, and professionals develop practical speaking skills for real‑world situations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct one‑on‑one virtual sessions focused on everyday French conversation, pronunciation, and cultural etiquette.
• Design and deliver role‑play scenarios, dialogue practice, and authentic audio materials.
• Adapt lessons to each student’s needs, addressing speaking anxiety, rapid native speech, and formal vs. informal registers.
• Use the AI‑powered Tutor Copilot to generate lesson content and receive real‑time instructional support.
• Invoice for completed sessions and receive payment up to twice per week.

Required profile

• Deep mastery of practical French vocabulary, conversational grammar, and pronunciation.
• Experience teaching spoken French to adults, travelers, or professionals.
• Strong ability to explain polite requests, question structures, and regional variations.
• Friendly, engaging communication style with a focus on building confidence.

Required skills

• Fluent French (native or near‑native proficiency).
• Experience with online tutoring platforms.
