Construction Quality Inspector

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Construction Quality Inspector to join its Critical Infrastructure team. The role involves collaborating with clients, QA representatives, project coordinators and subcontractors to ensure all construction work meets contractual and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with employees and subcontractors concerning quality functions and daily inspections.
• Inspect contractor work to ensure compliance with specifications and contract requirements.
• Oversee QA/QC of work, verify and approve Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and coordinate testing with third‑party agents.
• Review subcontractor deliverables against technical specifications and manage daily reports, safety permitting and EHS compliance.
• Generate and manage Non‑Conformance Reports, support corrective actions and maintain quality documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years of experience in civil construction and/or quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with CSA A23.1/A23.2, ASME codes and building codes is an asset.

• Competent with ASME codes.
• Understanding of CSA and Building Code requirements.
• Interpretation of civil drawings.
