Engineering Manager – Bridges & Marine

About the role

Parsons is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead its Bridges and Marine practice in Halifax. The role will guide feasibility studies, design, inspection and construction services for critical transportation corridors across the Atlantic provinces.

Key responsibilities

• Lead bridge design and rehabilitation projects, including FEA modeling and detailed design.
• Manage project delivery through all phases – planning, design, tender, construction and close‑out.
• Develop proposals and pursue new business opportunities in the Maritimes.
• Coach and mentor a team of 5‑10 engineers and technical staff.
• Coordinate with regional and North‑American teams to leverage resources and deliver high‑quality outcomes.

Required profile

• P.Eng or PE registration in Canada with 10‑15 + years of bridge structural design experience.
• Proven track record of leading bridge projects from concept to completion.
• Strong knowledge of national, provincial and municipal bridge regulations and standards.

Required skills

• Bridge design standards (CAN/CSA‑S6).
• Structural analysis software such as SAP, CSiBridge and MIDAS.
• Finite element analysis (FEA) modeling.
