Construction Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead civil infrastructure and road construction projects in Prince Rupert, BC. This full‑time permanent position offers the chance to oversee multiple projects from planning through delivery while enjoying the coastal lifestyle of Prince Rupert.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle from planning, execution to completion.
• Oversee crews, superintendents, subcontractors and project teams ensuring compliance with design specifications, schedules, budgets and safety standards.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and stakeholders on progress and project changes.
• Travel regularly to project sites to support field operations and resolve issues.
• Develop and manage project budgets and timelines, monitor costs and optimise use of labour, materials and equipment.
• Review and approve invoices, purchase orders and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, conduct audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead hiring, training and development of project teams, manage employee relations and delegate responsibilities.
• Champion a strong safety culture, ensure OH&S compliance and lead incident investigations.

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• CET or P.Eng designation preferred.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
• 5–7+ years of experience in road or civil infrastructure construction.
• Minimum 2 years in a leadership or management role.
