Construction Manager – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

The Construction Manager will lead the planning, design, and delivery of Métis housing and infrastructure projects across Saskatchewan. Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure, this role combines community engagement, project management, and strategic consulting to support sustainable development.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with regional directors and community leaders to manage, design, and execute housing and infrastructure projects.
• Provide consulting services including business planning, feasibility studies, budgeting, market analysis, and strategic advisory.
• Conduct economic research to inform construction planning and develop comprehensive financial and written reports.
• Prepare technical proposals and presentations, and recommend innovative solutions to address housing and infrastructure gaps.
• Maintain relationships with manager‑level counterparts across multijurisdictional governments.
• Oversee project staff, consultants, and contractors, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget compliance.
• Lead contractor selection, bid evaluation, and early contract development.
• Support data collection, metrics, and final reporting for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent technical diploma).
• Proven experience in construction management, tendering, and contract administration.
• Strong communication, time‑management, and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated analytical, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
