Construction Site Manager / Superintendent

About the role

Govan Brown is seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager/Superintendent to lead on‑site activities for commercial interior and building revitalisation projects in Calgary. You will be responsible for delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget while coordinating all stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed action plans and schedules to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
• Mobilise labour, equipment and material resources efficiently.
• Manage and coordinate the performance, quality and efficiency of labourers and subcontractors.
• Interpret plans and specifications, ensuring compliance with working drawings.
• Oversee subcontractor activities to maintain adherence to the construction schedule and budget.
• Maintain regular communication with the Project Manager, landlord, client, consultants, architects, engineers and designers.
• Implement strict health and safety guidelines on site and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing construction sites or supervising large‑scale building projects.
• Strong knowledge of commercial interior, core & shell, and building revitalisation work.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with multiple stakeholders.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
