Co-op & Career Coordinator

About the role

The Centralized Co‑op Education Program at UBC Okanagan provides enriched workplace learning for undergraduate students. The Co‑op & Career Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, coordinating and evaluating this program, ensuring it meets academic standards and supports student success.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute marketing strategies to promote the co‑op program to national and international employers.
• Recruit students, deliver one‑on‑one and group career counselling, and prepare them for work terms.
• Monitor student work terms, address workplace issues, and assess learning outcomes.
• Build and maintain relationships with employers, faculty, and community partners across four faculties.
• Collaborate with experiential‑education professionals province‑wide and manage day‑to‑day program administration.
• Develop and deliver pre‑employment workshops and training materials.
• Oversee budgeting, reporting, and compliance with safety, equity and confidentiality policies.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in cooperative education, career services or related program coordination.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with employers, faculty and students.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and decolonized practice in program development.
