About the role
GEODIS is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new business opportunities and support existing accounts within the logistics sector. You will play a key role in expanding our client base and ensuring customer satisfaction across the assigned market.
Key responsibilities
- Prospect and close new business while maintaining existing accounts.
- Develop and manage a contact list for growth opportunities in the assigned territory.
- Conduct daily telemarketing, cold calling, and written outreach to generate leads.
- Act as a resource for customers, addressing transportation needs, rates, and contract interpretation.
- Communicate regularly with customers, attend performance review meetings, and support process improvements.
- Handle customer issues, concerns, and requests promptly.
- Assist in account reviews, deliver results to the Country Director, and negotiate contracts.
- Collaborate with Operations and other internal teams to achieve profitability goals.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university.
- Minimum three years of relevant experience in business development or sales.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Required skills
- Experience with transportation management systems.
- Familiarity with optimization tools (preferred).
