About the role

GEODIS is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new business opportunities and support existing accounts within the logistics sector. You will play a key role in expanding our client base and ensuring customer satisfaction across the assigned market.

Key responsibilities

  • Prospect and close new business while maintaining existing accounts.
  • Develop and manage a contact list for growth opportunities in the assigned territory.
  • Conduct daily telemarketing, cold calling, and written outreach to generate leads.
  • Act as a resource for customers, addressing transportation needs, rates, and contract interpretation.
  • Communicate regularly with customers, attend performance review meetings, and support process improvements.
  • Handle customer issues, concerns, and requests promptly.
  • Assist in account reviews, deliver results to the Country Director, and negotiate contracts.
  • Collaborate with Operations and other internal teams to achieve profitability goals.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university.
  • Minimum three years of relevant experience in business development or sales.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Required skills

  • Experience with transportation management systems.
  • Familiarity with optimization tools (preferred).
