Business Development Manager – Heavy Haul

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager specialized in heavy haul and over‑dimensional freight to join our growing team in the Edmonton/Calgary area. This full‑time position blends on‑site collaboration with occasional remote work, focusing on expanding our client base and driving revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the heavy haul and over‑dimensional freight market.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers, manufacturers, project managers, and logistics coordinators.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure accurate quoting, planning, and execution of complex loads.
• Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote services and generate leads.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to shape strategic sales initiatives.
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals tailored to client requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales or business development within trucking, logistics, or transportation.
• Strong understanding of heavy haul, over‑dimensional freight, permitting, and route planning.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Self‑motivated with a track record of exceeding sales targets.
• Ability to work independently and as part of cross‑functional teams.
