About the role
We are looking for a motivated Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth within the freight sector. You will generate new opportunities, nurture client relationships, and implement sales strategies that maximize profitability.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and target potential freight clients to generate new leads.
- Conduct market research on trends, customer needs, and competition.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to exceed targets.
- Develop strong relationships with existing and prospective clients through regular engagement.
- Collaborate with operations, logistics, and customer service teams for seamless service delivery.
- Negotiate and close sales agreements, contracts, and partnerships.
- Stay informed on industry regulations and market developments.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, reports, and analysis to management.
- Represent the company at industry events and networking forums.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
- Proven success in business development or sales within the freight industry.
- Deep knowledge of freight transportation modes, logistics operations, and supply‑chain management.
- Strong negotiation, persuasion, and closing abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset to identify market opportunities and develop strategic plans.
- Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and able to meet and exceed targets.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Required skills
- Proficiency with CRM software and sales tracking tools.
