Branch Floater (Full-Time, Permanent) – Burlington, ON

About the role

As a Branch Floater at Chit Chats you will be the first point of contact for customers visiting our Burlington branch. You will ensure shipments are processed accurately, comply with customs regulations and provide a friendly, efficient service that reflects our brand values of caring, curiosity and cheerfulness.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer inquiries in‑person, by phone or email and promote Chit Chats’ services.
• Maintain a clean, safe and well‑organized branch environment.
• Process shipments: scan, sort, load onto skids, verify dimensions, weight and packaging.
• Prepare accurate Bills of Lading and required documentation; ensure compliance with Canadian, US and international regulations.
• Educate clients on shipment restrictions and compliance requirements.
• Take inventory of supplies, place orders and manage incoming and outgoing client returns.
• Support drivers with loading and unloading freight and perform fulfillment tasks such as picking and packing.
• Provide timely escalation and documentation of any shipment or client issues.

Required profile

• Reliable and punctual, with a professional appearance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow compliance procedures.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Willingness to work primarily at the Burlington location and travel to other Halton sites as needed.
• Ability to work efficiently, identify cost‑effective improvements and uphold company values.
