Assistant Professor – Endodontics (Tenure‑Track)

About the role

The University of British Columbia Faculty of Dentistry invites applications for a tenure‑track Assistant Professor position in the Division of Endodontics. The role combines research leadership, clinical teaching, and curriculum development within a vibrant academic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and advance research initiatives in clinically relevant endodontic science, including antibiofilm and irrigation strategies.
• Supervise undergraduate, graduate, and post‑doctoral research trainees.
• Teach didactic and clinical courses in both undergraduate and graduate endodontic programs.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the DMD Endodontics curriculum and foster interdisciplinary integration.
• Seek external research funding and maintain a strong publication record.

Required profile

• PhD (or enrollment in a PhD program) in a relevant field.
• Post‑graduate training in Endodontics and eligibility for licensure with the British Columbia College of Oral Health Professionals.
• Recent record of scholarly achievement and peer‑reviewed publications.
• Experience in undergraduate endodontic clinical teaching and simulation laboratory instruction, preferably in North America.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate collegially and advance the specialty.
