Adjunct Faculty – Fundamentals of Networking (Online)

About the role

We are seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach an introductory Fundamentals of Networking course within a fully online cybersecurity program. The role focuses on adult learners who balance education with professional and personal responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging online instruction covering LAN, WAN, wireless networking, OSI model, and network protocols.
• Facilitate student interaction through discussions, application‑based activities, and problem‑based learning.
• Assess student performance using structured rubrics and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Maintain up‑to‑date subject matter expertise to ensure course content reflects current industry practices.
• Contribute to curriculum improvement and course enhancement initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Networking, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Professional experience in computer networking, cybersecurity, or related IT domains.
• Prior experience teaching or training adult learners in an online or higher‑education setting (strongly preferred).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Comfort working in structured academic environments with assessment responsibilities.
