Accounting Technician – Full‑time

About the role

We are looking for an Accounting Technician to join our finance team on a permanent, on‑site basis. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month‑end close, and assisting with tax preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate fixed assets and depreciation.
• Maintain general ledgers, trial balances, and financial statements.
• Post journal entries and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
• Prepare tax returns and other regulatory filings.
• Use both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.

Required profile

• College or CEGEP education in accounting or related field.
• 1 to less than 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and handle repetitive tasks.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
• Experience with MS PowerPoint and MS Word.
• Basic computer and technology literacy, including scanner operation.
