About the role
We are looking for a full‑time, on‑site Accountant to join our Hamilton office. The successful candidate will support a diverse client base, including private corporations, individual shareholders and non‑profits, by delivering high‑quality accounting, tax and advisory services.
Key responsibilities
- Perform bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records for clients.
- Prepare financial statements, budgets and conduct financial analysis.
- Prepare personal and corporate tax returns in compliance with Canadian tax regulations.
- Assist with audit engagements and provide support throughout the audit process.
- Offer financial advice to help clients grow their businesses.
- Ensure all accounting practices adhere to regulatory standards.
Required profile
- Strong accounting background with experience in financial statement preparation and budgeting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- CPA designation or working towards it is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in public accounting or tax advisory is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and pay close attention to detail.
Required skills
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage (or similar tools).
