Consultant – Strategic Initiatives

About the role

The Consultant, Strategic Initiatives will join CIBC’s Compliance Strategy & Planning team, reporting to the Director. You will support the Compliance & Global Regulatory Affairs (CGRA) group in shaping and executing its strategic priorities, bridging business objectives with technology and vendor solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate discovery and ideation sessions to build the CGRA strategy roadmap.
• Assist in developing and executing a technology roadmap, including vendor strategy and platform evaluation.
• Support the delivery of key projects and strategic initiatives, tracking progress across the portfolio.
• Develop and implement vendor governance frameworks; manage vendor selection, onboarding, performance monitoring, and contracts.
• Coordinate the annual fiscal planning process and align it with PMO and procurement templates.
• Create clear, concise executive decks that tell a compelling story.
