Yard Shunter – Night Shift

About the role

The XTL Yard Shunter works the night shift to safely move and position trailers within the Costco depot yard. This role supports efficient loading, unloading and dispatch operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety and equipment care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform drop‑and‑switch movements and reposition trailers as required.
• Conduct regular yard checks to ensure trailers are organized, accessible and ready for operation.
• Sweep trailers and keep the yard clean and orderly.
• Maintain a well‑kept fleet of equipment and report any safety or maintenance issues.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures while operating the shunt truck.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of shunting experience using a shunt truck.
• Willingness to sweep trailers as part of daily duties.
• Clean driver’s abstract (no more than 5 demerit points) and a clean criminal record search.
