Workday Developer (Java) – Remote

About the role

Atimi is looking for an experienced Workday Implementation Engineer to join its remote team serving clients across Canada. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining Workday extensions and integrations while collaborating closely with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse stakeholder requirements to design appropriate Workday solutions.
• Develop and deploy new extensions within the Workday environment using WD Studio and WD Extend.
• Prepare business requirement documents, configuration guides, and process flow diagrams.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery of features, from design and implementation to testing and hand‑off.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members and conduct constructive code reviews.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines, build environments, and related infrastructure.
• Leverage AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) where they add value.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years experience implementing Workday integrations and 6+ years software development experience.
• Proven ability to work directly with clients, communicate clearly in English, and lead technical discussions.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, data engineering, cloud technologies, and business intelligence.
