About the role
ALS is seeking a Work Order Entry Clerk to accurately enter and manage work orders in a fast‑paced laboratory environment. The role supports supervisors and lab staff, ensuring timely service delivery to clients.
Key responsibilities
- Enter work orders accurately and promptly.
- Maintain liaison with supervisors and lab staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Identify and resolve internal and external problems as they arise.
- Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures.
- Follow up on client enquiries, requests, and “on hold” work orders.
- Greet internal and external customers courteously and direct them appropriately.
- Handle phone calls, take messages, and process various paperwork.
- Notify appropriate employees of incoming mail or packages.
- Promote a positive work environment through teamwork and quality customer service.
- Use correct methods in accordance with established procedures while ensuring analytical quality.
- Observe safety regulations and ALS health and safety policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required profile
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, organizational and communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication.
- Strong customer‑service focus and ability to work as part of a team.
- Detail‑oriented and quality‑focused.
- Previous experience with data entry systems.
- Administrative Assistant training or a business degree preferred.
Required skills
- Microsoft Office Suite
