Welder – Manufacturing (Delta, BC)

About the role

Advance Sheet Metal Ltd. is seeking a skilled welder to join its manufacturing team in Delta, BC. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, handling a variety of metal fabrication and repair tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret welding process specifications and read blueprints, drawings, and manuals.
• Operate manual, semi‑automatic and fully‑automated welding equipment, as well as brazing and soldering machines.
• Run brakes, shears and other metal‑shaping, straightening and bending machines.
• Determine weldability of aluminum alloys, steel, iron and heavy metals.
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1‑2 years of welding experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Organized, team‑player with attention to detail.
• Ability to handle up to 23 kg (50 lb) loads.
• Own safety gear: steel‑toed boots and safety glasses/goggles.

Required skills

• Gas welding operation.
• Manual, semi‑automatic and automated welding techniques.
• Brazing and soldering of metal components.
• Operating brakes, shears and metal‑shaping machinery.
