About the role
Volunteer role supporting the Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure event by handling t‑shirt distribution on the day of the run. The event is a 5 km or 1 km walk/run taking place on Sunday, October 4 2026 in Calgary. Volunteers play a crucial part in ensuring participants receive the correct t‑shirts, helping the fundraiser support breast‑cancer research.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome Team Captains and participants by picking up t‑shirts before Run Day.
- Distribute t‑shirts by colour and size.
- Answer questions about Run Day with a friendly attitude.
- Provide warm, detail‑oriented customer service.
- Lift and move t‑shirt boxes (minimum 10 lb).
Required profile
- Positive attitude.
- Ability to work in a team setting.
- Willingness to volunteer in all weather conditions.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
