Venue Representative – Part‑Time (Calgary)

About the role

The successful candidate will work as an on‑site representative for the immersive show MESMERICA at a Calgary planetarium. This part‑time role involves greeting guests, managing the lobby area and acting as the brand ambassador for Poseidon’s partner venue.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and take down lobby signage, check‑in table and merchandise displays.
• Welcome guests, check them in and answer questions about the show.
• Manage merchandise inventory, process sales and handle cash or card transactions.
• Facilitate the overall event flow to ensure a smooth guest experience.
• Communicate promptly with the Venue Operations team and provide feedback for improvement.
• Direct on‑site staff helpers when needed and resolve any issues that arise.

Required profile

• Upbeat, positive personality with strong communication skills.
• Customer‑service experience and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Reliable, punctual and detail‑oriented with good judgment.
• Availability to work evenings on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays as scheduled.
• Team‑oriented mindset with leadership qualities when directing helpers.

Required skills

• Comfortable using iPad applications, including WhatsApp.
• Basic social‑media knowledge for on‑site promotion.
