Vice President, Software Development

About the role

Vena Solutions is seeking a Vice President of Software Development to lead its global SaaS engineering organization. Reporting to the CTO, this senior leader will shape engineering strategy, drive AI initiatives, and scale delivery capabilities during a period of rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall engineering strategy for a worldwide, cloud‑native SaaS platform.
• Establish an operating model that ensures consistency, execution excellence, and predictability across multiple development teams.
• Develop and mentor a deep bench of engineering leaders, creating clear succession depth.
• Partner with Product, Architecture, Infrastructure, and Security to prioritize investments and align technical road‑maps.
• Represent engineering at the executive and board level, acting as the visible face of the technology organization.
• Lead the definition and implementation of AI strategy, especially agentic AI, to boost developer productivity.

Required profile

• 15+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience, preferably in SaaS or cloud‑focused businesses.
• Proven track record of scaling high‑performing, global engineering teams through rapid growth phases.
• Strong executive presence, business acumen, and collaborative leadership style.
• Ability to translate emerging technologies into tangible delivery speed and quality improvements.

Required skills

• Deep technical credibility in modern, cloud‑native architecture.
• Experience with Microsoft’s cloud ecosystem (Azure) and Excel integration.
• Knowledge of AI technologies, particularly agentic AI, applied to software development.
