Utility Foreman – Road Construction

About the role

Park Paving Ltd., a leading road construction contractor in Edmonton, is seeking an experienced Utility Foreman to lead projects within its Utility Division. This full‑time, on‑site position involves overseeing utility installations, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and supervise crews to meet production goals and project schedules.
• Ensure all work complies with client specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, testers and internal teams to maintain clear communication.
• Conduct daily safety meetings, inspections and complete required documentation.
• Monitor and control project budgets, reporting any force‑account work before commencement.
• Operate and oversee the use of small compaction gear and other equipment needed for utility work.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience managing construction crews in fast‑paced environments.
• Ability to work long hours, including overtime and consecutive days, in adverse weather conditions.
• Physically fit – capable of lifting up to 50 lb, kneeling, crouching, climbing and performing repetitive labour.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
• Strong decision‑making skills and a commitment to safety and quality.

Required skills

• Operation of small compaction gear and related utility equipment.
