U.S. Taxation Consultant for Businesses

About the role

We are looking for a U.S. Taxation Consultant to join our Brossard office. The successful candidate will work with Canadian and international clients, preparing and reviewing U.S. federal and state tax returns for corporations and partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare U.S. federal tax returns for U.S. and foreign corporations and partnerships.
• Prepare state tax returns (income, franchise, gross receipts, margin taxes) according to each state’s regulations.
• Analyze corporate and individual tax liabilities at both federal and state levels.
• Conduct tax research and planning, including cross‑border reorganizations and residency cessation strategies.
• Communicate with clients to gather missing information and answer tax‑related questions.
• Represent clients before U.S. tax authorities as needed.

Required profile

• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Proactive initiative and critical thinking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in both French and English.
• Team‑oriented mindset with solid computer literacy.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
• Experience using Axcess tax software (preferred).
• Experience using Taxprep software (preferred).
