US Tax Analyst

About the role

This remote position supports U.S. tax compliance and accounting for a dynamic international organization. Based in Canada, you will work closely with tax leadership and internal business teams to ensure accurate reporting and strategic tax initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare U.S. federal and state corporate income tax returns, extensions, and installment calculations.
• File compliance documents for foreign entities, including Forms 5471, 5472, and 1120F.
• Calculate GILTI, FDII, earnings and profits, and other U.S. tax attributes.
• Prepare quarterly and annual U.S. income tax provisions under IFRS with reconciliations.
• Respond to inquiries from U.S. tax authorities and assist with tax notices.
• Support internal teams with tax‑related requests, research, and special projects.
• Assist with purchase price allocations and preparation of Forms 8594 and 8883.
• Maintain accurate tax records and identify process‑improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in U.S. corporate tax compliance.
• CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple deadlines.
