Upper Elementary Montessori Teacher

About the role

Foundations Montessori School seeks a passionate Upper Elementary Montessori Teacher for grades 4‑6 (ages 9‑12). The position can start immediately (Feb/Mar 2025) or in September 2025 for the 2025/2026 school year. You will join a warm, Montessori‑rich environment that supports each child’s intellectual, social, and emotional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain a self‑directed, inclusive classroom that follows Upper Elementary Montessori pedagogy.
• Communicate regularly and positively with parents about student progress.
• Keep classroom materials organized, clean, and inviting.
• Apply Montessori principles to address social, emotional, intellectual, and physical needs of students.
• Serve as a respectful role model, demonstrating patience, kindness, and calmness.
• Monitor, assess, and report on student progress.

Required profile

• Montessori teacher training and certification (AMI or MACTE preferred).
• Experience working in a Montessori setting.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Positive attitude, professionalism, and teamwork orientation.
