About the role

Join Blaisdale Montessori School as an Upper Elementary Montessori Teacher, working Monday to Friday in a vibrant community on the Toronto‑Pickering border. You will guide students through the Montessori curriculum, fostering independence, curiosity, and cultural awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and implement an Upper Elementary Montessori program aligned with Ministry of Education standards.
• Observe, document, and assess children’s learning progress.
• Build strong relationships with families and involve them in the learning process.
• Collaborate with co‑workers, community partners, and children as part of a supportive team.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and equitable classroom environment.
• Host parent events such as science fairs and Mother’s Day tea.
• Prepare and write individual report cards.

Required profile

• Passionate about Montessori philosophy and lifelong learning.
• Energetic, resourceful, and creative in designing learning opportunities.
• Lower Elementary Montessori training with required Ministry of Education documentation.
• Strong leadership, initiative, and diplomatic communication skills.
• Genuine warmth for guiding children and families.

Required skills

• Elementary Montessori Certification (required).
• Familiarity with Montessori curricula such as MTC, AMS, NCME, or AMI.
• Excellent classroom, time‑management, and organizational abilities.
