About the role
Join a busy workshop supporting commercial transport operations, performing maintenance and repairs on trucks and trailers to keep fleets moving safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck and trailer systems.
- Inspect, test and diagnose mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
- Perform road tests and verify repairs meet manufacturer specifications.
- Estimate parts and labour costs, complete work orders and record detailed reports.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation.
- 3‑5 years experience as a truck or trailer mechanic.
- Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification and Red Seal endorsement.
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to work in a fast‑paced workshop environment.
Required skills
- Mechanical diagnostics of commercial vehicle systems.
- Repair and maintenance of truck‑trailer components.
- Road testing and performance verification.
- Estimating parts and labour costs.
