Truck Mechanic

About the role

Garage Benoit Trudeau Inc is seeking a dedicated Truck Mechanic to join its workshop in Saint‑André‑Avellin, Quebec. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a fleet of commercial transport trucks. This position offers the opportunity to work with experienced technicians in a fast‑paced environment focused on safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial truck systems, including engine, transmission, brake and suspension assemblies.
• Inspect and test mechanical units using diagnostic tools to accurately locate faults and malfunctions.
• Conduct road tests on motor vehicles to verify repairs and assess overall vehicle performance.
• Perform scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, filter replacements, and system calibrations.
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Registered Apprenticeship certificate in automotive mechanics or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• 3 to 5 years of proven experience working on commercial trucks and truck‑trailer systems.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including both morning and evening schedules.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality workmanship.
