Transport Operator

About the role

Airbus Canada is seeking a Transport Operator to support the movement of aircraft components and equipment within its Montreal facilities. The role involves operating various material‑handling equipment and ensuring safe, efficient logistics on the production line.

Key responsibilities

• Operate overhead cranes to lift and position heavy loads.
• Drive and control work vehicles such as Motrec, forklifts, shunters, and aircraft tugs.
• Move and deliver aircraft parts according to production schedules.
• Follow tight timelines and adhere to established planning.
• Tow aircraft both inside and outside the building.
• Plan and organise internal parts movements with the team leader, maintaining safety and efficiency.
• Perform any other related logistical tasks as required.

Required profile

• Valid Class 1 driver’s licence with at least three years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
• Strong sense of autonomy, initiative and good communication skills.
• Forklift competency is an asset.
• Experience with non‑standard transport operations is a plus.
