Transport Compliance Officer

About the role

The Transport Compliance Officer ensures that commercial vehicles operate safely and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. This onsite position involves advising licence holders, conducting inspections, and preparing detailed compliance reports.

Key responsibilities

• Advise licencees on relevant transport laws, load restrictions, and hazardous‑material regulations.
• Inspect commercial vehicles to verify compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive reports on inspection findings and compliance issues.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve compliance violations.
• Perform pre‑operational inspections before vehicles are put into service.

Required profile

• Secondary (high school) graduation certificate.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in transport compliance, vehicle inspection, or related fields.
• Strong documentation skills, including accident and incident report preparation.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
