Transcriptionist

About the role

Insight Medical Imaging is seeking a remote Transcriptionist to join its growing team. The role supports diagnostic imaging services by converting radiologists' dictations into accurate, formatted reports for patients and physicians.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately transcribe medical dictations, primarily radiology reports.
• Organize and prioritize workload to meet daily deadlines.
• Communicate with radiologists and other departments to clarify information.
• Provide peer support and maintain a cooperative work environment.
• Handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.

Required profile

• Grade 12 diploma and successful completion of a recognized medical transcription program.
• 1–2 years recent medical transcription experience.
• Residency in Alberta with reliable hard‑wired home internet.
• Knowledge of diagnostic imaging processes is preferred.

Required skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Exceptional grammar, syntax, editing and punctuation.
• Keyboarding proficiency of 75+ words per minute.
• Familiarity with diagnostic imaging procedures, billing codes and desktop applications such as Microsoft Word and Windows OS.
